Web EDI

A browser-based EDI portal, no local software install; the fastest path for small suppliers to go electronic.

Definition

Web EDI (also called WebEDI, EDI portal, EDI SaaS or cloud EDI) is the modern form of electronic data interchange: instead of integrating EDI software with your ERP, you send and receive messages (ORDERS, DESADV, INVOIC) directly from a multitenant web portal. Retailers increasingly require Web EDI from small suppliers because it eliminates email and PDF and handles any volume. EDIconnect provides a Web EDI portal with automatic EDIFACT conversion, AS2 signing, legal archiving and role-based access for the commercial team.

Examples

A small supplier receiving Kaufland orders with no local software install · A distributor connecting 20 retailers from a single cloud portal
