JIT (Just-in-Time) and JIS (Just-in-Sequence) are logistics schemes in which the supplier delivers exactly what is needed on the assembly line, in the right sequence, an hour before use. They require specialized EDI messages (DELJIT, CALDEL) and strict SLAs (latency under 15 minutes). Standard in the automotive industry.
