VDA
The EDI standard of the German automotive industry association (Verband der Automobilindustrie).
Definition
VDA is the set of EDI messages used by German carmakers (Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche) and their suppliers. Typical messages: VDA 4905 (scheduled delivery), VDA 4913 (dispatch advice), VDA 4906 (invoice). Romanian suppliers to the German market must support VDA or use a converter (EDIconnect converts EDIFACT ↔ VDA automatically).
