Below are a few ways in which EDI implementation has proved to positively influence these relationships:

 1. An improvement in customer relationships

Nowadays, there are greater chances than ever that if you can’t exchange documents electronically, customers may refuse to continue doing business with you.

It is important to be able to fulfill any of their business requests and to be able to give a resounding ’yes’ whenever they want to know if you can receive a purchase order via EDI or if you can use barcode labels on shipments, to be further scanned in order to increase productivity.

This ability will set you apart from your competitors, labeling you as a straightforward business partner that is easy to do business with. This means that customers will be more willing to return with more orders, which of course will reap higher revenues for you. What is more, EDI still has a long way to go before becoming the norm on the market and this is why having such an upper hand would still give you a competitive edge compared to other companies.

  • Poate unul din cele mai mari beneficii rezultate in urma schimbului electronic de documente este vizibilitatea crescuta la nivelul procesului de comanda. Metricii tai obisnuiti vor arata cu atat mai mult acum, printre care informatii privind punctualitatea avizelor de expeditie, finalizarea unor comenzi si frecventa comenzilor intarziate. Cu ajutorul acestor informatii, vei putea identifica eventualele puncte nevralgice si actiona imediat spre a le corecta sau elimina. Partenerii comerciali pot comunica unii cu altii mai eficient si cu o mai mare punctualitate, beneficiind in acelasi timp si de alte avantaje economice. Singura conditie pentru ca acest lucru sa se poata intampla este ca Avizul de Expeditie si Comanda de Achizitie sa fie trimise si primite prin intermediul EDI.

Dupa cum am vazut mai sus, companiile isi pot imbunatati considerabil relatiile cu partenerii lor de afaceri, contribuind astfel la dezvoltarea prospera a afacerii proprii. Cultivarea unor relatii armonioase si bazate pe inceredere este la fel de importanta ca dezvoltarea propriu-zisa a proceselor de afaceri.
